The Opportunity Awaits
Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking a proactive and solutions-focused ICT & Systems Support Officer to deliver frontline technical support across our diverse and remote communities. This role is integral to ensuring reliable, secure and user-friendly technology services, supporting staff both on-site and remotely.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting ICT issues, maintaining devices and systems, supporting digital platforms, and promoting safe and effective technology use. Working as part of the Corporate Services team, you will also contribute to the rollout of new systems and ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

What your day will look like, but are not limited to:
In this hands-on role, you’ll keep Council’s technology running and support staff across multiple locations. Your day will include (but isn’t limited to):
- Delivering fast, effective ICT support to resolve day-to-day issues
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity and mobile devices
- Setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, phones and peripherals
- Managing service requests and keeping systems operational
- Supporting users with systems, access and basic training
- Assisting with accounts, permissions and system administration
- Monitoring system health, backups and connectivity, and escalating issues
- Supporting technology upgrades, rollouts and digital projects
- Promoting cyber-safe practices across the organisation
- Maintaining accurate ICT records, assets and documentation
The Ideal Candidate Profile
You’re a motivated, hands-on ICT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems on the go. You bring a practical, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to supporting users and keeping systems running.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience delivering ICT support across diverse or remote environments
- Strong ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Confident communication skills with the ability to support and train non-technical users
- A solid understanding of cyber security best practice and safe system use
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and use initiative
- Experience with Microsoft 365, cloud systems or modern ICT environments (highly regarded)
- Relevant ICT qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience
You’re adaptable, reliable and solutions-focused, with a genuine desire to make a difference and support essential services in a community-focused organisation.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience delivering hands-on ICT support in a dynamic environment

Other Requirements
- Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
- A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
- A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
