As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient and compliant financial services. From processing transactions to contributing to reporting and audits, your work will help ensure financial integrity across the organisation.

This role is based in Katherine in the Northern Territory.

What your day will look like, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain financial records
  • Support financial reporting, audits, and month-end processes
  • Assist with procurement, payroll coordination, and asset management
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and legislation

The Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment. You bring a strong foundation in accounting practices and a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
You will bring: 
  • A qualification in Accounting/Finance (Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in accounting functions and financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Other Requirements 

  • Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
  • A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
  • A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
