We offer a competitive annual salary of $59,037 per annum plus super, along with a generous package that includes:

How you’ll make a difference

You will be focusing on empowering customers to use self-service facilities, understanding their rights and obligations, and navigating available payments and services. The position also ensures accurate and timely reporting to Centrelink in accordance with contract requirements.

Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide face-to-face support to customers on how to use the online self-help services that are available, including Centrelink service products.
  • Provide guidance to customers by facilitating access to interpreter services.
  • Assisting customers to lodge claim forms and documents.
  • Confirm identity documents for customers.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide guidance and referrals as detailed in the training through Services Australia.
  • Keep procedures and workflows up to date to ensure service delivery is consistent and efficient.
  • Manage documents and records in accordance with Services Australia policy.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. You will bring strong communication skills and an understanding of the challenges faced by job seekers in the Kalkarindji community.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in Centrelink, government services or community services (Desirable).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and community engagement.

Other Requirements

  • Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months).
  • A current Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • A current Australian Driver’s Licence (Desirable).
