How you’ll make a difference

Opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team in Timber Creek committed to keeping council facilities cleanliness to a high standard. 

Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment across Council offices, accommodation quarters (in some service locations), and other designated Council facilities. 
  • Ensure all areas are presented to a high standard and supports the health, safety, and comfort of staff, customers and visitors.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who loves working collaboratively within a small team to ensure the cleanliness and safety of designated areas. This position requires a strong commitment to following safety protocols, especially regarding the handling of chemicals. As a Cleaner, you will play an essential role in maintaining our operational standards.

You will bring:

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices.
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Other Requirements

  1. Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  2. Current Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card)
  3. A valid driver's license
  4. Willingness to wear PPE and follow all WHS requirements
  5. Chemical Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  6. Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
