How you’ll make a difference
Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking a dedicated, hands-on leader to join our team in Kalkarindji, one of the Northern Territory’s most unique and culturally rich community.
In this pivotal role, you will lead and deliver Aged Care and Community Support programs at our Kalkarindji Community Centre, ensuring services are compliant, welcoming, culturally safe, and responsive to local needs. This is more than a job it’s an opportunity to build trust, strengthen connections, and improve quality of life for our consumers and participants.
Key Responsibilities
As a Community Services Team Leader – Kalkarindji What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality support for Aged Care clients and NDIS participants.
- Design and coordinate programs and activities that promote health, wellbeing, and social connection.
- Engage new clients through outreach, community engagement, and partnerships helping people access the supports they need.
- Ensure compliance and quality standards through training, record-keeping, and best practice.
- Demonstrate financial responsibility and effective use of resources.
- Champion cultural respect and inclusion.
- Maintain safe, clean facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

The Ideal Candidate Profile
- A flexible, enthusiastic leader who is passionate about enhancing the lives of others.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work sensitively and respectfully in a culturally diverse environment.
- Understanding of Community Services, Disability Support, and Aged Care.
- Commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and high service standards.
Desirable:
- A sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health and Safety.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable or ability to obtain).
- My Aged Care Learning Centre Modules learning (essential).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (essential or ability to obtain).
Other Requirements
- Criminal History Check
- A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
- A current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
