 How you’ll make a difference

Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full-time Community Care Zone Manager South based in Timber Creek, NT.

The Community Care Zone Manager South is responsible for the operational management and delivery of Community Care services across Timber Creek, Yarralin and Kalkarindji.

Reporting to the Community Care Regional Manager, the role ensures the effective day-to-day delivery of programs including NATSIFAC, Support at Home (SaH), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The position ensures services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with legislative and funding requirements.

The role leads local teams to deliver culturally appropriate services that respond to community consultation and support access to care for elderly community members and people with disability.

Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day delivery of Community Care services within the South Zone.
  • Supervise and support frontline staff to ensure quality, safe, and culturally appropriate service delivery.
  • Oversee client intake, care planning, service agreements, and client documentation.
  • Ensure services comply with the Aged Care Act 2024, Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and program guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate client records and reporting through required systems including eTools, DEX, My Aged Care, and PRODA.
  • Monitor program expenditure and resource use within delegated budgets.
  • Maintain positive relationships with elderly clients, families, community members, service providers, and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with WHS legislation and Council policies.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking an enthusiastic leader with a passion for community services and a commitment to fostering a culturally sensitive environment.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, Community Services, Management, or related discipline (essential).
  • Proven leadership experience in aged care, disability, or community services.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with a supportive, collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in using service, reporting, and financial management systems.

Other Requirements

  1. Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
  2. A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
  3. A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
