In addition to a competitive salary of circa for Level 4.1 ranging from $72,126 - $75,455 per annum plus superannuation you will also receive access to a range of additional generous perks.

Position Overview

As the Community Night Patrol Team Leader in Kalkarindji Community, you will play a crucial role in supervising and supporting our Community Night Patrollers, ensuring a safe and culturally appropriate service is delivered to the community. The role ensures consistent service delivery aligned with community needs, the Operational Framework, and the objective of ensuring children are home or in a safe location at night.

This dynamic position involves daily supervision, performance monitoring, and fostering a collaborative environment where every team member can thrive in Kalkarindji.

Day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership & Supervision 
  • Community Safety & Child Wellbeing
  • Improve the safety of children and vulnerable people.
  • Perform all duties of a Community Night Patroller.
  • Provide assistance, referrals, and safety interventions.

 About you   

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong understanding of local Indigenous community and culture.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Accurate recordkeeping and written communication ability.
  • Ability to work in the afternoon and night.

Other Requirements

  1. Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months).
  2. A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card).
  3. A current unrestricted Drivers Licence (essential).
  4. Current First Aid Certificate.
