Role Overview
The Centrelink Officer plays a crucial role in delivering Centrelink services to the Yarralin community. You will be responsible for providing assistance and guidance to customers, ensuring they can effectively utilize the suite of self-service options available. Your work will involve educating clients on processes and requirements, particularly for job seekers, to help them navigate their obligations and access necessary support.
This position requires a commitment to cultural sensitivity and awareness, as you will be interacting with a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically will be essential in fostering trust and ensuring clients feel supported.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:
- Previous experience in Centrelink, government services or community services (desirable)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to cultural sensitivity and community engagement.
Other Requirements or ability to obtain
- Criminal History Check
- A current Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card)
- A current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
