Victoria Daly Regional Council is seeking a dedicated and community-minded Community Services Team Leader based in Timber Creek.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate Aged Care and Community Support programs delivered at the Timber Creek Community Centre, ensuring services are welcoming, culturally safe, and responsive to local needs.
You’ll also play a key role in identifying and engaging new clients, building trust with Elders, families, and community members so they can access the supports they are entitled to.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a caring team to provide quality daily support for Aged Care Consumers and NDIS Participants.

Coordinate centre-based programs and activities that enhance health, connection, and wellbeing.

Actively identify and engage new clients through outreach, community events, and local partnerships.

Support staff with training, records, and compliance tasks to maintain high service standards.

Promote good nutrition, hygiene, and safety practices in line with Aged Care Quality Standards.

Ensure culturally respectful and inclusive service delivery that reflects community values.

Maintain safe and clean facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

Selection Criteria
Essential:

Demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm in enhancing the quality of life for our community members.

Well-developed communication and negotiation skill and the ability to be sensitive.

The ability to work in a challenging, culturally diverse environment and respect the values, customs, preferences and beliefs of participants and their families.

Ability to be flexible and enthusiastic towards undertaking a variety of tasks that add value and quality to the NDIS participants and aged care consumers lives.

Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

An understanding of Community Services, Disability Support and/or Aged Care services.
Desirable:
- A sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health and Safety.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

Possess a Cert III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable).

Hold essential NDIS Workers Orientation and Mandated Modules certifications.

My Aged Care Learning Centre Modules learning (essential).

A current First Aid and CPR certificate (essential)
Other Requirements or ability to obtain

Criminal History Check (recent, within 3 months)

A current Working with Children’s Card (Ochre Card)

A current unrestricted Drivers Licence

A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
