How you’ll make a difference
Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full time, NDIS Coordinator of Support based in Katherine, NT.
The NDIS Coordinator of Support will oversee the delivery of NDIS support coordination including accreditation, reporting and Coordination of Support for Participants.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support NDIS participants to build capacity to understand their NDIS plans and negotiate appropriate support and services.
- Liaise with and report as required to NDIA and NDIA Quality Safeguard Commission in relation to NDIS participants and their plans.
- Build NDIS participant and family capacity to understand and navigate service systems.
- Regularly monitor expenditure and support and participants to remain informed as to their rate of expenditure and the potential effects.

As the Victoria Daly region has a large Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population, you will need to ensure cultural sensitivity and awareness across all activities.
Additionally, you will join with the following skills and background:
- Ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a small team, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Disability Service Standards.
As the ideal candidate, possessing excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multitask and negotiate, and a professional approach to problem-solving are key.
