How you’ll make a difference
Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full-time Community Care Support Officer - North based in Katherine, NT.
As part of the Community Care team, the Community Care Support Officer will provide administration and data collection support across all community services programs within the North Zone. Working in accordance with Council Regional Plans, policies, relevant legislation and funding requirement, the role will report to the Community Care Zone Manager - North.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide overall office support to all staff in communities working with people supported by the
NATSIFAC, Home Care Program, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and the National
Disability Insurance Scheme. - Ensure that tasks are performed efficiently, professionally and within deadlines across all the
community care Northern zone sites under Vic Daly region. - Execute preparation of delegated word processing tasks such as letters, memos, case notes,
training materials, reports, and prepare photocopying, collation and binding of materials or
reports as required. - Maintain Community Care Registers such as Chemical Register, PPE Register, Visitor Sign
in/out Register and appropriate suppliers and stock list for ordering of client consumables
and equipment. - Record Community Service Staff Meeting minutes and distributing to staff in a timely manner
including providing weekly update/meeting notes to the Community Care Zone Manager
North on progress of actions. - Organize weekly team meeting via Microsoft Teams with each community services team leader in
the North zone and get an update on vehicles, assets, IT issues and or service delivery needs. - Travel out to remote communities regularly to support staff on the site ensuring they have enough
support to work in limited conditions. - Support the Community Care Zone Manager North by maintaining accurate client profiles in
Etools, ensuring all data, files, reports, and pricing are regularly reviewed, updated, and
managed. - Support the Community Service Team Leaders with completion of compliant Shift Reports for the
Finance & Compliance Co-Ordinator North zone in a timely manner.

a professional manner - Prepared to undertake extensive travel to work in very remote communities.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, plan workload and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to work respectfully and inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse people. - Demonstrated currency of pandemic and job specific vaccinations (and boosters)
- A sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health and Safety.
