How you’ll make a difference

Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full-time Works Supervisor based in Katheirne, NT. 

This position is responsible for overseeing all capital and minor works projects.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Work as part of a team to ensure a collaborative approach is taken to achieve positive outcomes.
2.  Supervise all capital and minor works contracts throughout the Council area to ensure works are delivered to the specified standards, within timeframe and within budget.
3. Regularly oversee maintenance at all waste management facilities to ensure facilities are maintained to the standards.
4. Communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders and contractors for positive outcomes.
5. Ensure contractor performance is reported to the Director of Operations.
6. Assist Council Operations Managers and Council Operations Team Leaders to deliver community projects.

What you’ll bring to the team

Education Requirements

1. Previous experience working with and maintaining waste management facilities. 
2. White Card (essential)

Other Requirements

1. Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
2. Current Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card)
3. A valid driver’s licence
4. Current forklift license (or ability to obtain)

Travel Requirements

This position is based in Katherine, and you will be required to undertake travel and overnight stays in remote communities within the Victoria Daly Regional Council area
