This role comes with a competitive salary of $67,986.52 PLUS 10.5% super.

About the Role

Reporting to the Community Services Manager, you will work in accordance with Council Regional Plans to lead the Aged and Disability team in culturally sensitive service delivery.

Some day to day duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing NDIS and Aged Care service delivery
  • Managing meal transport, personal care and domestic services
  • Managing social worker workforce
  • Continuously updating and renewing care plans as needed
  • Organising food orders
  • Maintaining company vehicles
  • Ensuring NDIS and aged care compliance requirements are being met

About You

You will hold, at minimum, a Diploma in Community Services (or equivalent) and will draw on your experience in working with remote communities to implement culturally appropriate processes within our team.

Critical to your success in this role will also be a demonstrated ability to lead a team while developing staff from a range of backgrounds. Experience working with communities in remote areas will also be highly regarded.

Other requirements for this role include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Residential Aged Care, CHSP, Home Care Packages, Carer Respite or NDIS service delivery
  • First Aid Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety processes and reporting requirements

While not essential, relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Nursing and Allied Health will be highly regarded, as will a Food Handlers Certificate and Mental Health First Aid training.
